Good Morning. I was so excited for my friend and former DeSales graduate John Beilein and his team for making it to the Elite Eight in the NCAA Basketball Tournament. He is a terrific Coach and classy guy. Although his team was not able to win the game over Kentucky, I watched one of the greatest basketball games ever! Now, I have to root for the Kentucky Wildcats, as my son is a former student at UK. Go Cats. Enough about that, here is some information that you may find helpful for this week. Don't forget to pick up your Niagara Chocolate orders in the gym today and tomorrow. Tomorrow night at 7pm join us for the Home School Association meeting in the cafeteria. If you attend your child will be entitled to a dress down day. There is a lso a chance to win a frre month of tuition. NYS ELA tests begin tomorrow for grades 3-4-5-6-7-8. Please make sure your child gets a good night sleep and a good breakfast. Dress Down Day for Cystic Fibrosis is the Friday. A $1 donation is required. Dear DeSales families, Happy St. Patrick's Day. Here is what's happening this week. Today we had a visit from Kate Messner, who gave an excellent presentation to our students. She did a terrific job of inspiring the students to become writers and how to make that happen. She was inspiring. At 9:40 on Wednesday is our Generation Celebration for 3 and 4 year olds. They are looking forward to having their special someon here to celebrate Mass. Remind your children that they are not to bring any prescription or over the counter medicine even vitamins to school. It is against all school policy. Soccer team registrations went out in the Parent Connection on Friday. The due date is 3/28/14. There is limited space so get your registration in on time. After 3/28, only registrations will be accepted if the need for players is there. Track team registrations have not gone out yet but will soon. Basketball Intramurals have not started yet due to a lack of parent volunteers. I'll be in touch about that as soon as possible. Let me know if you would like to help. There is no school 3/21 as we are celebrating our Pastor's holiday. Please join us for the HSA Auction on SAturday night here at DeSales. Hang in there Spring starts on Thursday. Mrs. G
